You added .040" with the new head gasket. That's going to throw your cam timing off by several degrees! If it was only a .010" different I wouldn't worry too much about it, but you more than doubled the head gasket thickness!

You are correct that it would be bad to run a TRUE 11.5:1 a/f ratio on e85. Since e85 uses about 30-40% more fuel at WOT, and the stoich for e85 is 9.76:1 (as opposed to 14.7:1 for gasoline), the true a/f ratio desired on e85 is around 7.64:1 a/f under WOT. However, since almost all wide-bands are calibrated for lambda (represented as 1.0) to achieve their numerical a/f ratios, therefore, a true a/f of 9.76:1 will appear as 14.7:1, and, 7.64:1 (the target a/f under WOT) will appear as 11.5:1 a/f on the wide-band gauge.

So, I will tune for 11.5:1 on the gauge, all while knowing it's actually 7.64:1.

hmmm.... If I were to buy the adjustable cam sprockets, how many degrees should I retard them?

Thanks for your 2 cents badguy. $80 seems steep for what it is. Maybe I'll call them and make an offer..... haha

My restriction at this point is probably my stock fuel rail. My good friend and mechanic who builds high hp evos and hondas thinks it's plenty big enough for 300 whp on e85.

its gonna be tough to say, i went with the big rail from Compton and -6 feed and return and all the AN fittings got hella expensive lol its crazy to think how much a good fuell system costs. But thats the one part i would never skimp on that its the most important part of a FI build i think

hey gilberjj, are you still planning on running the real street spacers? If so, why? Since you're not running in that class and your goal is to be the fastest, I would think that you would want to put a single stage lockup in it so that you could keep the easy clutch pull and still get all the grip that you need. You have to think. These guys that are changing their clutches out every weekend. If you're making 300 hp, I don't see a stock clutch lasting too long on that setup before it starts slipping on the big end.

I have been wrong before though lol

Oh ya it is that's the weekend Where records Are broken the track will have so much fucking prep on it, and hopefully we have some negative DA like we did last year. But I sure as hell hope to get down to the high. 30s low. 40s at 165 plus. I just hope I can get a handle on the nitrous set up as soon as I get there.

I don't know my best 1/8th mile time, but I think it's 6.0x. I know I never got into the 5's though. My best 1/4 is 9.48@142.
