Wossner Rods ????
I have been looking at these rods and although I have never used them they seem to be a pretty good bargain. They use a 3/8 bolt where the Carillo's use a 5/16. they are about $270 cheaper than the Carillo rods. I want go over 400 H.P so they should be a deal. Anyone use them? here is the info off of the Schnitz website.
Wossner H-Beam Connecting Rods are stronger and less expensive than the competition. Designed for 500+ horsepower turbo applications, but can be used in any application where a strong rod is needed. Forged from Chromoly 4340 and utilizing 3/8" ARP L19 bolts to keep even the highest horsepower engine together longer and without catastrophic failure.
How does L19 compare to ARP 2000?
L19 differs from ARP 2000 in that it is a vacuum melted alloyed steel with sufficient chromium and carbon to achieve high hardness. L19 is aircooled from the hardening temperature in a way that does not require an oil quench to achieve full hardness and is tempered to assure full conversion to martensite between 1025 F (551,66 C) and 1075 F (579,44 C). L19 is a proprietary material capable of achieving strengths of 220,000 / 230,000 or 260,000 / 270,000 psi as may be required. Recommended Torque is 45 foot pounds (.006" stretch)

I've used em with good luck in a 1k and in a Busa. Got mine from Seb @ NLR. He loves em.

Thanks, I am pretty sure that this is the route I am going to go. They will be new. It's hard to find a set of good used rods. They don't stay on the market long. I may give them a try.

They are very nice pieces.
We are a dealer for Wossner and Carrillo and have used the Wossner rods with great results.
We have custom bronze bushings in stock for them so we can fully recondition them as needed for the big busa motors.
After a season of hard racing its always good to have any set of rods magnafluxed, measured, honed and the bushings replaced if needed.

Unofficially I'd say there a few months out right now.
I've reviewed the pre production drawings for the zx14 rods and we made a few recommendations for some changes so they will work for strokers as well as stock stroke engines.
They are nice pieces for sure and are going to be well worth the wait.
