stroking it
hey guys its that time... time to upgrade dissapointed i did not get my 8 second pass on motor. moving to idaho and idaho being 2800ft above sea level best here 9.20s. so heres the scoop need to know whos bored their bikes and how big, what works. i like motor no juice so i'm thinking bore it to 87mm. whos done this and has this work? had to many problems with stroking the 12 kept blowing up. so stroking it may not be something i want to do just yet, but are these motors survivng being stroked? what pistons are mostly used at this bore? and of course head work not going crazy with this will remain with stock cams looking for some #s on the degree of cams any suggestion and help is and will always be appreciated.

A 2x5 (1534cc) with a Competition CNC stage 3 CNC ported head and cams will put you in the low 8's and 170 mph in the 1/4 mile typically making 250-255 hp on a dj250 with the 47mm throttle bodies.
Its the same combo Rickey Gadson is running on his real street bike.
If you didn't want to stroke at all, the +2 mil bore bikes with the stage 2 head and cams are making in the 225-230 hp range with the 47mm throttle bodies.
With stock cams on a +2mil bore I would run a Super Sport head. They are a great bang for the buck and make about 215 hp on a +2mil bore motor. They make about 200-205 on a stock piston/cam motor.
