zx14 and gsxr 1000 rear shock swap info?????
I have been hearing talk of using a busa gen 1 or gen 2 rear shock on the zx14's. My question is are you using the whole busa shock or just the spring? Im just trying to figure out how this works, could you give me info on how this works? Im a bigger guy 220 and was looking into doing this.
With that said my second question is can you use a 01 gsxr 1000 shock / spring? I have one and didnt know if that would work or if only the busa shock / spring will work.

Usually heavier people use the Busa spring due to a higher spring rate.
I used a spring that has a higher rate than the busa spring.
But the busa spring is still a good upgrade none the less.
Ive heard talk of a few people wanting to use the entire shock but never seen any thing other than talk.

I know that the gixxer shock will bolt on a sv650. I kave also learned a zx14 shock will to so I am under the impression it will. Problem is it would still be undersprung. The guys at Traxxion tol me our bikes are undersprung for even 150 lb rider.

If you hack off the nitrogen reservoir and install a remote, the busa shock would go on with out denting the tank I bet.

The busa and 14 shocks are different lengths. Also the lower mount are different widths.
