No matter what you ride, when you are above 55 or 65 on a public road you are are at risk to yourself and others, That said, over 65% speed but less than 2% are over 100 mph on a public road. ZX 14 riders may be the exception but that has nothing to do with liability issues. You will not win when you are in the wrong. Sorry for your problems but you are ok and the bike is repaired. Be greatful and keep it on a track.
I've seen lives lost also and multiple injuries, all would have been less if they were obeying the speed limit.

When i posted that original Post if you look it shows where I clarified that speed report to be an assumption. None the less we had just been in a storm and when we came out of it into clear weather me and the Vice Pres(OF OUR CLUB) were side by side with no traffic. We then slowed down and I got behind him letting him have the open lane because we came up on 2 tractor trailers side by side. As we let off throttle and like i said I was only running about half throttle in 6th gear, It just locked up so i never even passed the two tractor trailers as i lost speed very quickly sliding and I looked down and grabbed the clutch and then when I sat up a little the wind caught me and I hit my shoulder on one of the trailers and thought I was going under it. I simply held the clutch and the wind was blowing me all over the place. So i wobbled alot man it was freaky to say the least. The truck slowed down but did not pull over. I finally got clear and merged off the road. So what happened was this FOR THE RECORD !!! We were in a storm riding, we get passed it and hammer the throttle smiling, we come up on traffic and slow down, bike locks up, i hit trailer and pull over. VICE Pres (OF OUR CLUB)goes to next exit and turns around. When I posted i just made some guess because we had the throttle's hammered . And yes I told the reps all of this before they even inspected the bike. I was very honest with how it all happened. They told me to take it all to the dealer and they approved all this work. Where we got messed up was the case issue and the tech saying he will just have to tear it down again. So Kawi knows everything and yes it was recorded. Sorry to burst your bubble their pal.
On the wind and rain comment. Wind means nothing ofcourse but i meant the scientific parts of it. If you're treading thick water( very very bad storm) tornado possibilities even, and the wind is pushing you to the side and wind off the cars and trailers doing the same it would create enormous stress on the moving parts because of their weight compared to the force. I build boats everyday during the summer. I know what a huge difference it makes when you have choppy water opposed to smooth water. Motorcycles are much the same. The force being applied is reducing horsepower and increasing strain on the motor to produce maximum power and we were powering out alot of dangerous situations to get around some complete idiots on the road way. These southern drivers act really stupid in storms. So yes the force would be a factor. So they made a joke about me riding it so low in the corners probably caused it because i have a reputation for knee dragging all the time and i said well maybe I put to much strain on the parts and since they were already warped and damaged it caused the lock up when I hammered it coming out of the storm. Basically i felt like had i stayed on throttle the bike would have kept running and made it home but damn would it be toast but because i let off and the parts slowed down they locked up. It makes perfect sense. Use your brain and compute the evidence. Atleast i'm trying to figure out what happened rather than just say oops it's broke, i fix it now george.

My 250 Ninja looked up at 220 mph , it would have been 230 mph but it was raining and i had a 50 mph head wind ...Lucky for me the Geo Metro in front of me was running 220 mph or i would have slid under him and killed myself ..I'm going to sue kawi for 5 mill for allmost killing me on this 250 ninja death trap ..I have a good case because the 250 owners manual never said a 250 at in the rain at 220 mph would cause the rods to have wind damage and lock up my motor .. Sell your 250 ninja right NOW before you die !!!!

I've read three guys who posted in websites about zx14 engine failures. If this bike were so bad, would there not be many more postings since the bike first came out? All three riders also seemed to be the type that would lug the 14 around in 6th at 40mph. They also seemed like the type who believed Toyota actually had problems of cars accelerating out of control. I think a lot of 14 riders can't ride the dam thing and are more concerned about it's image, etc. Look at all the stretched 14's that are ridden on the street. The bike handles like shit that way. It looks pretty cool but no serious rider would ever consider it. Why don't you get some actual proof in either cause and effect or some convincing statistics. The NHTSA, just like the Bush Jr. (Iraq war), thought they could fool people, which they did, without any actual evidence. Since you have neither the power nor credibility, you will have to provide hard facts. You have not and I assume you would if you could but since you have not, I'd have to say your conclusion is incorrect. If you are going to come out and say something like this, you better have some convincing information -which you don't. Neither did Bush Jr. nor did the NHTSA, and both later admitted they made a "mistake".

You have to google alot of different titles but they are there. So now I need to go get that for you to? Why is it so hard to accept this is what happened? Hard evidence? Well Kawi had all the hard evidence and even they could not explain the failure so you telling me to get evidence that the manufacturer themselves can not produce is impossible. All I can do is recall what was going on at the time of the failure. It honestly looked like someone either over tightened the bearing or maybe they even put the wrong color bearing in it. There's a good assumption. But the facts are facts. It wasn't my fault. And i came across atleast 20 different articles or forum posts on blown up bikes Going all the way back to 2006. One forum stated they were alot of failures around 7,000 miles. And then one guy said that he also had the failures around 7,000 miles. I saw alot of post with alot of failures. Sorry but they're there.
Obviously they had enough evidence that it wasn't my fault and did the repairs. Explain that?

If you could really be taken seriously, an inflammatory post such as "ZX14's are Death Traps" could be sued for liable. But that would only be if Kawasaki actually felt that ANYONE didnt buy one of their bikes because of you.
In this forum, however, I doubt that any of us 14 riders would sell our own work of art due to your unsubstantiated accusation.
Enough said.

There sure are alot of pictures and evidence of zx14's blowing up for no good reason out there for you to say I'm making it all up. Why are there so many posts about oiling issues that need to be addressed with the 14's? Why all the pictures of rods and parts slung completely through the cases? Why the deaths? You saying that my claim of a young man being killed is a Lie? My claim of nearly being sucked up under a rig is a Lie? Is That what you're implying? Or you simply saying that my post is not warranted because of all the bikes that were built correctly? That comment made no sense. And further more I never asked you to sell your bike or "work of art" as you call it. I simply wanted to make a post that people who have had severe failures could speak up and explain their situation. You guys are really upset about this aren't you? I'm sorry but it's the truth and it's what happened to me. Would I like to have one built right? Hell yeah I would I loved that bike. But I simply feel this one is unsafe and so does the tech. And he builds them everyday while you sit here and but in when you obviously haven't had this problem before. I could hardly be more insulted by your claims of going 200 mph, while in reality you meant to say that you were a fluffer for 200 gay porn flicks.

Yeah i noticed you can't even stay in the seat LMAO!! I also noticed that obviously lose chain. You spent alot of money to look stupid didn't you? I demand an apology for being insulted as a rider by not even taking the time to tighten your chain before the run. But you know what I'll let it slide this time. I been doing 200mph longer than you been riding. And like the other guy said you might look cool with your extended swingarm ( I saw the weld job) but any real rider would trash that junk.

One more time dork ... I have seen up close Busas , Gixxers , and a host of other bikes with rods hanging out of them .. This is nothing new ..I have watched 3 Gixxers spit rods right in front of me at the track ... SO ? You run the bike hard and shit happens .. They are all death traps .. This are the chances we take riding 200 MPH motorcycles ..NHRA prostock , top fuel and super stock cars toss rods all the time and these engines are built by the very best engine builders and the best parts known to man .. Now do us all a big favor and go away ...
