Shorty clutch lever?

I'm about to order a pair of ASV levers and definitely want the shorty on the brake side, but uncertain about the clutch side..........wondered who all has these or similar installed on their 14 and what the thoughts are on the shorty clutch lever..........with less leverage is it harder to pull? Also, I sit in traffic with the bike in gear and would hate to have arm pump after just a few traffic lights because it's tougher to hold the clutch disengaged -- and these kits are $225 a set which isn't cheap so I want to make the best decision the first time

I hear a lot of people complain about the short clutch lever being harder to hold, especially racing it's harder to launch. I think it's just a personal preference.

Helmett I have the Pazzo levers and I went with standard size on both sides. Im not sure about ASV but with Pazzo's the standard size is slightly shorter than stock. My buddy has the shortys on his FZ1 and they are just to short IMO.

On the street the shorts are fine but I orderd them for my busa for the track and 60fts dropped clear off because there was not as much leverage as with the long and I could not control it as well, they where on for one week and came back off.

the only track mine would see is at my local roadcourse, so that wouldn't be a problem since us twisty riders either have the clutch in or out..........that's it.
but for now I'm probably just going to slap on a shorty brake lever kit and see how it feels together with the standard clutch lever, then possibly just chop the stocker off and try the nubby to compare.........if I dig it, I'll order the clutch side shorty -- thanx fella's!!

i run light springs and a lock up, and have my clutch lever cut off (with the ball welded back on) so its a 2 finger lever. 2 on the bar, 2 on the lever feels really good for me, very secure without having to push the lever into the 2 fingers on the bar.

I have the shorty Pazzo levers on my Fireblade and they are great because everything is so light on that bike. I don't know if they would be any good on the 14 so please let us know.

i have short Pazzos on my 14. i think they're great! didn't like them when i pulled them out the box though! lol because they're really short, but after riding with them for a couple days i changed my mind.
they work well for me at the track because i two finger clutch, which aside from the looks, was the reason i got them.
with the lever against the bar, the ball hits right in the center of the grip. but i can still get 3 fingers on it if i choke up on the grip a little, which around towni usually do.
thats my .05 cents!
