high mileage 14
A post from zxforums.com
quote: My workshop 2009 zzr1400 is now at a massive 125000 miles and still going strong ,,its been all over Europe,South Italy a couple of times ,Morocco once, Russia twice, down to Montenegro 3 times and Greece 3 times as well as all over the uk, this bike is hardly turned off as its always being grabbed by on of my team as a weekend hack or holiday excursion as well as being a loaner for the workshop. Still in very good condition its serviced correctly and as the usual stuff wears out it gets replaced with original parts, only one warrenty issue in its early life when i warped the front discs,Which where replaced by Kawasaki UK. oh and i put a new seat on it just for looks really the old one was getting a bit "used"....

I just seen a harley electraglide at a dealer that was an 09 and had 96000 miles on it. they said a retired gentlemen owned it and never parked it. funny thing was they where still asking 16,500 for it. so I can think those miles are legit, it said plenty of people had rode it.

That's some longevity right there...........wonder what the total cost was to maintain and replace worn parts -- that's what I'd like to know to see if it would've been cheaper to run it into the ground and then simply replace it with a newer model??

So you changed it at about 32K. Did you use the same OEM D.I.D. or went with another brand?

Yes I changed it at just after 32k and replaced it with OEM D.I.D.
I used Belray super clean every 500 miles or so and keep my chains clean

I use Mineral Spirits and a good brush about every 800 miles or so and good chain lube every 300 miles at 8000 miles the chain and sprockets look brand new.
