how come old school is unfair?
Why would this be unfair? I found a cool old school GS I would like to buy and my friends are whining. " It's got a Turbo!" hell its a 1980 GS750, what they scared of? it's 30 years old.

even with a turbo it probably makes less hp than most modern liter bikes lol. That thing is bad ass. I say go for it. If they cry foul, tell them to put a set of sissy sticks on their bike to make it fair lol.

Well it makes 295 HP to the wheel with good gas and it is 1395cc. GS1100 motor in a 750 frame. Not a penny spared on the motor. I got to drive 8 hours one way to get it. But it's different and kinda cool. A great streetbike to cruise around on then put some good gas in it, turn the boost up and your flying in the 1/4 mile. The dump pipe could be a problem with the left knee though.

I am trying to get it for $4500 he wants $5500. He has a lot of custom work in the bike. I mean it's been converted to a single shock rear whick is nice. Has the nice Busa wheels on it. A 1K front end. Trouble is that it is a one off bike with and old style Mr. turbo kit. Plus the old GS motor is an old design. This one has all the goodies in it and the old roller bearing cranks were bullet proof. You start getting into the price range of newer bikes and it's hard to pay that much for an older bike. We will see if we can meet in the middle. It's a beauty. I like it because I grew up on the older style bikes. It started life looking like this so you can see it was a good bit of custom work

if you dont buy that thing send me the guys name and number and i will. who cares if they cry about it. tell them its old school technology and then play them for the $$$$

ive always been a kawasaki guy and i have 2 74 z1 dragbikes one with a 1075 motor and one with a 1200 on it and then i have a 78 full fairing zx 10 body with a 1500 on it and an original 77 kz ltd and of course my 06 14 if i could i would buy one of those old gs bikes i think when they are done up right they are really sharp bikes i wouldnt have a problem buying this one if i had the money very sharp bike

Old school is always cool.It will be a long time before a zx 14 looks as cool as both of the bikes.
