Dad is using one now. He's having better luck out of it than he did with the 003 U-soft, Full bore U-soft, or Hook up. He's been running it about half a season in Texas heat (racing 1-2 times a week) and hasn't said anything about it being close to wearing out. When I get another 12 wheel I'll be buying one for my bike as well.

I have ran one all year. I love it, cheap and hooks @18-20lbs everywhere I have been.

008 is a great tire .. I had one for a short time and could not make it spin ..I even tried NOT doing a burn out and it would not spin .. We have guys here that race every week and do big burnouts and the damn tire still lasted two years ...I really like this tire OH be carefull it's little harder doing a burnout , it hooks so good it will push the bike with the front brake locked up ..You got to get it wet to get it spinning and sometimes that doesn't help either !! The tire flat hooks !!! Tommy was running as high as 28 psi at 68 inches and it still would not spin ..

What we do here is take a dirt track car tire groove cutter and make them look like any tire tread pattern you want. It is a heavy tire but works and last longer than most others. Someone told me you can order them with the grooves cut into them but it was $75 dollars extra to have it done. It only takes about 45 min to do it yourself. less if you just put minimal grooves in it.

I don't of any place that does this. Richie's can groove tires, but I don't think he is a Shinko retailer.

You could also give Doug Ray at Spencer Cycle a call...he is a major Shinko retailer.

well i just ordered a 008 in 180-55 yesterday this tire will be going on my booza, my friend who has a booza set up like mine just ordered the hook up in 180-55 so as soon as they both get in we will weigh them and see how they hook.

As most of you guys know i am 90% street racer and 10% drag racer, i race from a dig on he street and need a tire to hook when there is no prep AT ALL, both my bikes are set up for dig street racing but as we all know a spin can lose the race at any time and i dont want to chance that any more,im hoping this tire will do the trick, oh the cost of the tire was 89.87 so at that price if i dont like it i will go back to the 003 or get the hook up.
Ill let you guys know how it works and what it weighs compared to the hook up as soon as i can
