Do you actually think that the majority of the people who will buy this bike are buying it for the potential? Where do you think they are they going to get their info? Do you actually think that those people reading how the BMW spanked this thing on the dyno are going to consider it for the same money? And by the time that vapor-ware ECU fix is out, the death rattle will have already been heard.
Where is the throw your arms up icon?

With enough hype and marketing this will be a great bike! Forget the specs, performance and potential!!

I've agreed all along about the new 10's potential as most folks on here have. Alot of folks just don't like kawi's marketing strategy, which is pretty dishonest to the point of being bullying. Thats the main issue I think. That and maybe the price 
I have to add I agree shane I think the new 10 has all the hardware to whip the shit out of the bmw unrestricted, mod for mod....and if I was in the market for a liter bike I would buy the new 10 REGARDLESS of the price OR the restriction. Just wanted to clear that up. I have NO issues with the bike, I think its a home run. My issue are with kawi's very underhanded marketing approach. Pisspoor and disgraceful imo

Something we may have not considered might be happening here. Think about this.
They knew the regs. They must have.
What if all this shit is because when they brought the bike here when people testing the bike started banging into the rev limiter, the bikes were blowing up???? Floating valves or something of that sort.
Doesn't that make more sense than EPA, or some reg?
Then you really need to gag the internet and change the story to some bullshit EPA thing.

And no one is saying you should. We are talking about it being a sales flop if the magazines say it underpowered. I was just speculating on a possible reason for them to drop the HP and revs when they knew good and well what the regulations were.

I read quite a few different bike sites, and several kawi sites including the zx10r.net forum, and for whatever reasons kawi definately seems to have some kind of censorship going on as far as youtube video's being pulled, dyno numbers being pulled, threads getting mysteriously pulled, etc. Plus what went on here with Bikelands vids. Its a little shocking actually, I've been online for years and years and have never really seen anything quite like this. This whole Vertiscope thing has definately changed the way I view forums and the internet.
