Tire blistered

I'm putting a new tire on tomorrow so I decided to mess around with mine. I did a 10 second burnout on concrete and the tire done this. I've never seen this.

Still quite a few passes left on that tire...what are you replacing it with?

cracking on right and blistering indicated the tire is delaminating, but thats just my guess.
too much heat, and solvent under the skin? are you using bleach in your water box?

Same tire. 180/55 power race. We have a test and tune Friday, then semdra sat. Were 4th in points so I didn't want to chance it. Plus the tire is a full year old. Its had quite a few heat cycles.

Was the tire spinning on you?

Would like to have seen it before you did the extended burnout...

It looked normal before this. If I done a long burnout in 4th gear I could understand the blisters. But it was on fresh concrete.

Also, I was posted this to find something to talk about since this place is "dying"

Concrete builds a LOT of heat when you're burning out, especially in 4th gear!! Thats a lot of revs but not abnormal for a tire to do - nascars and formula cars can blister the tires just running laps so good job on the smokeout!!

We no longer have to worry about this tire anymore. About 30 min on the road and it's smooth as a babys ass

What hellmutt said about concrete...

Concrete offers the best traction of any surface for rubber...Thats why all the DragStrips have concrete at the launch area most with more than 100ft. past the 60ft...

Sidewalks & driveways are brushed to offer more traction for walking, doin a burnout on it will wear your tire out real quick...

but the whole initial question was how it blistered. I've never seen one in person do that.

I think there's something wrong with your bike. Your fame is cracked or something. Stop riding it and take it to a stealership right away so they can create some real problems with it!

Its the same as a third degree burn or like boiling water...The excessive heat causes rubber to blister like you already said...

The concrete offers more traction that any other surface which will produce more heat...
