This was from our first test session at Indy with a bone stock motor. Hopefully intrest in the zx14 combination will build and thus promote more combinations and aftermarket parts. It seems that push button bar bikes are becoming more common place. With engines like the zx14 and busa it's easy to see the trend continuing.

Oh well, I was trying to post a video but didn't do something right I guess. I'll try again when I have more time.

Normally they run 5.10 to 5.30 in the 1/8th depending on who's running the show. In the 1/4 it seems it's always 8.20. It's our intention to build a motor capable of running a lil better than we have to then throttle stop it to the number. While I would hate to have to admit that I'd spent the money and time to get into a Pro Mod chassis to end up bracket racing if we just can't get it done there is always SC & PET. Time will tell!

IMO the 14 is very far from "been there done that"
With the exception of ozonkiller's alcohol 14, I have yet to see a 14 really perform at Land Speed events, or a built 14 match a built Busa at the 1/4 mile.
BUT, Jim Gilnack at Competition CNC, is doing some VERY exotic work for Rickey Gadson's 14.
And, I have high hopes for Jim's 14 next year in Land Speed.
Who knows, he might even have something for my 1635 Busa; i'm hoping he does.
Jim is a great guy and doing very, very cool stuff for the 14, yup.

Had to come back and post the video. Keep in mind that this is a bone stock motor and this is the first race for this kid on a drag bike. Before this the only thing he'd raced on was my ZX14.

I would say that the 14 has performed pretty well in LSR to this point. It is 6 years behind the 12R, and 7 years behind the Busa in development. Several stock displacement/stock cam and piston 14's have broken 200 mph in the mile without major tailwinds.
I don't think a 12R in the states has run as fast as a 14 in LSR...over 230 mph.
Regardless, the Busa will remain the #1 platform. But with all of the 14's potential, I bet you are kicking yourself for not getting one.
