Zx14 turbo issues
Has any one ran across this problem, motor revs good up to 5,000rpm then it just falls on it's face and starts to jerk like it's tring to turn off, and wount go past 6 grand when ur riding it. Like it's not getting no gasoline? I checked fuel pressure it's at 70lb at idle and stays there while on the throttle?

Change your plugs - they have a short life with a turbo !
Even if they look good, change em.

I just changed the plugs still doing it. Smokinzx14 ok I'll lower it to 42 in the morning, so it rises while on boost?

not yours! You need a rising rate fuel pressure regulator on stock injectors.

if he has a 1:1 aint no way he is going to see 72-80psi of pressure unless there is a lot of boost, lol

I used a B.E.G.I. 2025 and it was a 6 to 1. It cost about $250 and here is a link so you can read about it. You could be lean without if. At 8 to 10 pounds of boost we were seeing 80-90 lbs. of fuel with it.

Yes we got it all flushed changed plugs, fuel, oil.... But I have a fuel pressure Gage on the regulator and it is showing 70psi at idle! Maybe the power commander is not working properly? But every thing else works fine even the quick shifter that was completely under water over nite!

the regulator has a bleed port, so the diaphram can move, you might have water in the regulator.
That said, some turbo bikes with 1:1 regulator. and stock injectors have higher static fuel pressure to compensate for the small injectors as boost goes up.
check with the tuner if you dont know what the static should be.

has the bike rver been tuned on a dyno? if you map is not fairly close its hard to suggest anyfhing. it almost sounds like a boost leak. also if its a cheap gauge you might check it against a new one

Save yourself a lot of time and trouble and put the BEGI 2025 reg on it. set the static fuel pressure at stock then use the needle bleed valve to adjust on boost pressure. Start about 4 turns out. As boost rises you should see the fuel pressure increase. Very easy to tune and works really good plus off boost your bikes runs like normal.

That or big injectors, and use the 1:1
all the pro's, adams, Jones, kizer, muzzy, NLR, RCC prefer a 1:1 regulator, but you need bigger injectors,
if you run a rising rate, begi as BigT says, has the best reputation.

If you want it to be a really good streetbike use the one I told you about. On the ZX14 turbo kit I sold 01smokes on here we had the larger injectors, BEGI 2925 Reg and a Walboro FI pump.

Yeah it's wierd I reloaded map an reinstalled PC and it's doing it again, it's smooth all the way up to 5,500 RPMs then it starts to buck and hesitate so think PC is not working after 5,500 RPMs?

Check you ground on the Power Commander, that is a common issue with those.
