WHAT TYPE OF NUT IS NEEDED TO GET THE FRONT WHEEL OFF

Can't seem to find the right one to fit in that slot to loosen the front wheel and take it off

I used the back side ( wrench drive ) of a 5/8" sparkplug socket -- but believe it's a 22mm hex..........had to run a 12" extension thru the axle and come at it from the adjacent side..........just leave the opposite side pinch bolts tight and back off the pinch bolts on the nut side to help you break it loose...........here's an aftermarket multi-drive hex tool I'm looking at getting.

I am guessing you mean the axle, there is a motion pro tool out there you can use to remove it or what I do is use a craftsman 13/16 (if I remember correctly) sparkplug socket and flip it around backwards to go into the axle then hook my rachet and extension to that. Hopefully that helps.

You may be right on the sparkplug socket size, slacker83..........i thought it was a 5/8"?
Either way, I'm pretty sure it's a 22mm hex

its 22mm, I'm still waiting for my tool to come in so I went to the hardware store and bought a steel bolt with a 22mm head and 2 nuts and backed it out. Tool will be here eventually. lol

If you're a cheap ass like me you can go to Home Depot, buy a cheap $2.00 grade 8 or 10 hex bolt that matches the ZX axle inverted nut size and 2 matching nuts for it. Use the 2 nuts to double lock the nuts against each other and use the hex head side in the ZX axle. Then use a long combo wrench on the inner nut to loosen and outer nut to tighten. That's my home made tool.....

I use a socket like this too, I think it's bigger than a 5/8 though. I put a pipe wrench on the socket neck, once it's placed in the axle. Been doing that for years with the same socket.

Most every one allready has one , just use the plug socket trick , it looks cool hanging out of the axel , makes bystander's ask , questions , the fattness of the socket is a nice hand hold, If you buy a brand new one , napa , buff off the flat's with a flapp wheel grinder to fit perfect, workes better than a big allen wrench.
the bolt and nut Idea for the , road trip tool kit adapter .
