Lower Farring Bolts??
I have noticed that my 09 is becoming notorius for loseing the lower farring bolts just like my 07 was. I am thinking about using a drop of the Locktite Blue on each bolt that does not go into a well nut.
Has anyone else had this issue? If so what do you reccomend to use so you dont end up missing bolts often?

I had the issue also, blue Loctite was my dealers solution, now I only lose them when i take the bike apart.

good deal, at least someone else was told what i was thinking. I have heard it both ways from dealers. Some say use blue locktite and some say dont.
ill give it a shot and see how well things work out.

+1 on the blue locktite , either that or buy a lot of spare bolts and parts.

14's are notorious for losing those bolts. Everybody who's ever owned one that I've asked about has lost at least a couple including me, before they wised up and started using blue locktite on them. Now I put the blue on them every time I take them off/put them back on.

Lost mine a couple of times, and it usually takes the dealer a couple of tries to get the correct bolts from their supplier. I bought extras last time.

Ive never had any come loose and they shouldn't either because the rubber portion on the back of the wellnuts gives the bolt a slight drag so it would prevent them from coming loose in the first place. Make sure you have the nylon washer in there as well.

i have never had any of the bolts come loose that are in well nuts. But the bolts i was referring to are located on the lower belly pan farring up front. there are 2 per side that come loose often if nothing is done to help them stay in (these bolts go into aluminum brackets, not well nuts). I have also noticed the front fender bolts like to loosen up over time as well...
Im going to hit the Non-Well Nut bolts with some Blue Locktite this weekend... Hopefully they stay put.

I had lost my lower fairing bolts. Went to autozone and found some matching bolts and just used them. 10mm bolt not allenhead though.

I've got small rubberized washers at work that I use on ALL my bodypanel bolts -- never lost a single one.........biggest problem I have is rounding out the socket when I'm torqueing the caliper mounting bolts -- SHCS are the stupidest piece of hardware Kawasaki could've used on calipers -- I should replace those with Torx drive bolts instead, at least I'd be able to torque those down to the recommended spec without fear of rolling them out -- f*ckin' engineers....
