pilot power 2ct

Anybody that has or is running these tires on the 14 please chime in on how good or bad this tire is. Its just about tire time again and they are really priced nice right now and have a much steeper turn in style carcus than the contintial sport attacks i am running now. Thanks for the input guys.

Never had experience with 2CT's but my buddy just got them on his FZ1 and loves them. I run Pirelli Angel ST on my 14 and love them. Excellent tires that wear well and grip excellent. I have 3500+ miles on mine and they are still in great shape. I am definetly getting another set when its time.

I've had great experience with the 2cts.
They are really sticky and I've been able to get 6 to 7 K out of them.
If your bike sees lots of twisties then you will not believe why you haven't used them before.
LAB3 has them on his bike too and I'm sure he'll chime in soon.

Peyton, great tire! But the center wore out a LOT quicker then I expected. I like the Pilot powers for the rear and 2ct for the front

Michelin "Pure's" are the 2CT's replacement and I oid a track day on them recently with steller results. they even worled well "2-up" on the last session of the day at Road Atlanta!

Steve and Tim thanks for the imput. Lewis is the reason i am thinking about the Michelin's in the 1st place. He said the 190/55 turned in a lot better, but i dont want to re-gear for the taller profile of the 55 so i was going to try the 190/50 with the steeper profile and try and get the best of bith worlds. If i went with the taller profiles i would have to go to a 16 tooth front spocket to compromise for it and i fear iwould ride like a hooligan like Bawl's did with this set-up. Oops sorry Chad.

Why would the 50 series not be as good with the steeper lean offered by the Michelin Steve? I hate to admit it but wit with the sport attacks i still have about 1/8 inch of chicken strip because beause i almost always ride 2 up with the wife and daughter. Have to stay in the safe zone with both on the back.

I'm currently running the Pilot Road 2CTs and so far, they are more than enough stick for the road. Enough stick to run to the edges without any problems.

Really depends on the type of riding you are capable of doing. If you tend to ride on roads like it's a racetrack, the Powers are stickier. I'd have no trouble riding intermediate class with a Power front and Road rear.

the 50's are great, but for turning in faster the 55s are a lot lot better

First tire change and I switched to the Pilot Power 2ct. A Major improvement over the Bridgestones. Confidence-inspiring in turns. The prices now are too good to pass up if you're in the market IMO.

Nice tires, I got nearly 11k on both, the front & rear with the Pilot Power 2CT's.
I have Pilot Road 2's on my bike now.

As long as you stay on the sides they're fine, but they wear out quick if you're a heavy throttle hand, high speed straight line guy lol. I got about 3800 miles out of my rear.

I just fitted Dunlop Sportmax "Roadsmarts" -- basically Dunlop version of the 2ct
So far I dig 'em........they hook well in the turns and are wearing nice and evenly..........haven't tried them at a track day yet, but assuming they'll perform well in comparison to street use.
I had the 190/55's in Battlax BT002 -- the bike did turn just a scosh better compared to 190/50 Dunlops I got now -- probably go back with the 55's after I wear these out, just had to physically experience the difference for myself.........but as fast as I go thru tires, I'll be back on 55's in no time

I might give the Pilot Pures a try, nice to know they are very sticky and also claim their tire is lighter then other tires. Im always looking for weight reduction.
