were is all these 5.80 streetbike
i was told by some member's on this forum that any streetbike can run 5.80's . well at KOTT there was 7 entries out of 200 bikes into the 5.80 index race . Wee was the closest to a streebike . ask him if he rides his zx14 on the street .
Street ET had 40 entries .
Keith Dennis Shine had a jockey challange on a bone showroom stock gixxer 1k and ran a 6.45 to be the best time in that event ..
now all the guys that told me any streetbike can run 5.80's can EAT CROW NOW . cause that didn't happen . and y'all can go ahead tell me how wrong i am again until the next event ..

not in the 5.80 index
but running 6.20's in the Street ET

Most streetbikes can run 5.80s it just matters who is riding the thing. Now, not to be confused with that SWB GSXR that Keith was riding but most stretched streetbikes should be 5.80 capable.

NOT EVERY RIDER ON A STREETBIKE can launch like the few that are on this forum .
now back to Keith in super sport he rides 8.90's @160 mph on stock wheelbase . maybe even faster ET's

SURE .i even won a few . but what happens is the guys on these forums pick the index for their bike. not for the index in general. now you know how 5.80 was picked . cause they had to run at a 1/8th mile track and 5.80 = a 9.0 index to some racers . and that was what was settle on . some wanted it to be a 5.60 index . i can only wonder what the entries would have been ..

I'm a average rider and run 5.80's everytime at the track... And weight 200lbs in boxers. It's a streetbike.
