Shane who makes your nose cone without the lights?Will the upper two inside factory cowlings fit that aftermarket cone? Thanks

Catalyst Racing Composites makes the upper. You can mount the inner panels, but you would do best to fabricate a couple of mounts to make up for the two brackets that attach to the headlight.

Pretty busy day today. I took the day off so that I could try to get her bike ready for the track. We have done a few things over the last month, but here is what I did today:
Install new low drag wheel bearings
Modify inner drive spacer
Remove front wheel and strap kit
Swap brake rotors
Route chain back through front sprocket (that was a bitch!)
Install new chain and two masterlinks
Install 10R Rear Wheel
Install 10R Front wheel
Install 10R rear brake (still need to install line and bleed)
Reinstall strap kit
Install upper airshifter mount at motor mount
Grind shifter for clearance
Replace clevis on new air shifter cylinder
Clean and install Muzzy shifter mount
Install solenoid and 90 degree fitting at shift cylinder
Reroute shifter loom
Remove stock battery/partial box
Install speedcell battery and reroute wiring
Install c02 bottle mount under seat
reinstall tail section
reinstall fuel tank
Replace rear sprocket
Fit GPR steering damper
Plus numerous other tiny pita stuff. I have some good pictures, but no time to post them now. I need to get up early and do some more work on the bike. Here are a some pics I took with my cell:
Anyway, when I get some time I will post better pics and some more details.

I'm feeling real rusty. I've only made 4 full passes in the last 17 months. Racheal had one track day on the bike before, but it is a lot different now....probably some setup bugs to work out.
So, no big expectations...just some seat time for us both. I'd like to have some fun for a change, instead of chasing numbers like before.

I hear you. I missed the sign up for that one, I signed up for the one on April fifteenth though. Have fun, I will be out there Saturday trying to get my suspension dialed in, I will be chasing numbers, but hopefully fun as well.

Weighed the bike at the track today, right after the fuel indicator started blnking:
The scale reads in 5 lb increments, and it flashed 465 a few times. So I think it is safe to say that the bike weighs about 470 with 1.5 gallons of fuel.
We were both rusty today, and Racheal needs more time with the bike. She ran a personal best of 9.29, on pump. I ran a 9.15, at 255 lbs suited...and that was on a dog slow 1.52 60 foot, and what seemed to be crap MR9. It was a sealed/new container, but in my garage for 8 months....and I couldn't get the last 1/2 gallon of pump out of the bike. I only gained 1 mph from the fuel, if that. EDIT: I did have one pass of 152.xx mph...which is in line with the best I ever ran on my bike with BST rims, and a combined weight around 50 lbs lighter. But I couldn't repeat that number. Overall the the mph difference with the fuel seemed to be about 1 mph, or less...even when Racheal ran the bike.
This bike definitely seems to run stronger than mine did. All of the mods also worked fairly flawlessly. I did have to jack the bike up quite a bit to keep from rubbing the undertail...we will be lowering it back down now that she is going to be riding it full time.
Anyway, it was nice to get back to the track and make some passes after such a long time away. Now I have to start riding my own bike so she can focus on seat time.

Good passes for both of you not running in awhile. we always have the same trouble sucks living where we get snow. we have not ran since early oct.

Friday we went to MIR, with the same basic setup. Just some fresh Amsoil.
Racheal's new personal best, into a headwind:
She tagged the limiter on the 1-2 shift, so it could have likely been a 9.0x.
We didn't get that pass on video. But I did get one of her slamming down a wheelie pretty good. Sounds like Barry Bonds, all 'roided up, smacking one out of the park:
Amazingly, the bike still went 9.36@149.5 on that pass!
The bike has a filed down guard, and low profile drain bolt. Forks are slid up 1", 60 series front tire, and strapped. Nothing touched the ground, fortunately.

Shane that's a very lucky landing cause that is usually a pan buster !! Even with the pan mods.
Sure glad she dodged that bullet, and she's getting quick on that 14, better look out LOL Sure wish i hadn't missed the show. ..........

Yeah, I'm sure that if I were to slam one down like that...boom!!! Probably her lighter weight helped some...

I got a day off shift, and went to the dragstrip!:
7 AM: Time to change a clutch, and briskly.

Steels look good to me:
Normally I would just reuse them, but I don't have time to fully inspect them. The bluing is obviously from the dragstrip passes. I actually like that the plates have seen heat cycles like this...if they are flat and clean, they are good to go, imo.
Clutch plates soak while I take the old clutch out. About 20 minutes is fine, imo. No problems getting hundreds of passes on these 14 clutches like this.
I also get the steels sloppy with oil when I do the install. That's just a little insurance that the plates won't have any dry spots on my first pass. Maybe just superstition, but it makes me feel good.
Tools of the trade. "Clutch Picks". One end is magnetic for getting the steels out, and the hooks pull the fibers:
While I was in there I changed from 3 to 5 of the Brock's clutch spacers. The clutch had 8700 miles and about 100 passes on it, so I figured I would remove it before I got a surprise at the track.
The job took a little over an hour start to finish, including removing and installing the chin fairing piece. I'm a little slow waking up in the morning, or it would have moved along more quickly.
So, Racheal's prior best on the bike was a 9.12. She is just starting to get used to the bike a little, having ridden a footshifted 1000 for the last few years. Air was very good with a DA of 862 feet aound 12:30 pm.

She came out a lot harder, but hit the limiter hard on the 1-2 shift.
Things are looking promising. I don't want to "jinx" her, but I think there is a good chance she see's an 8 second slip this season.

One other area we are looking at is her trap speed. For some reason she is only averaging about 1 mph more than me...but I have 80 lbs of suited weight on her. I was able to run 150 on several passes, and most of her good "mph" passes were around 151.
She had one fluke of 153.70, but we don't know how it happened, lol. Time to put the logger on the bike.
On a different note, my best passes were in line with last time. 9.17 early, and a 9.19 to finish the day. So, the bike was running about equal to what it did last time out when we had better air, but headwinds.
