Any other weird stuff like your web browser being redirected or very slow computer? Can you run any antivirus programs?

Sounds like you may have the "cootie touch". Do a web search on it.

Did a google search on it and it looks like you've got a corrupt registry. You could try reinstalling net framework.
Have you been using any registry cleaners?
Might have to do a clean install at some point.

Its a Spyware tha targets the MS Framework set.

Im not ruling that out but he could have a corrupt registry. That's why I asked if he's been using a registry cleaner. Sometimes it's best to do a clean install cause windows just gets cluttered up. Not sure if he's on vista or win 7 or how long he's been on this install. Is he getting any other errors?

Can you run and update antivirus programs? Some virus' like to stop you from getting updates so you can't patch whatever hole their using to get in.
You really should update to win 7. It's much safer and easier to use. Xp really sucks once you've used win 7.
