Home made test stand for ZX-14 engines

I put this together this week so I could test a spare motor laying around the shop. I had enough spare parts to build this test stand so it did not really cost me anything but some time.

Now I can wire up the Megasquirt 3 ECU an start on that project :-)

I got the preassembled megasquirt3 yesterday . Surface mounted components always stand up to vibration better .

I found connecters so I can use the stock wiring harness and make this a plug and play setup. The Megasquirt also supports CanBus so I can use the stock gauges as well as send diagnostic information to the LCD. I still need to get the expansion module to support the cam position sensor a few other features , but I should be able to get started with the wiring and see if I can fire the motor up on the megasquirt.

Those components lokk good. Are you satisfied wih the quality?
Thats been a major concern for me, ability to deal with the elements and environment on a bike.

I should know more when I get the sensors wired up , but it really looks good so far. The preassembled ECU was $540 and even with the expansion module it may still be reasonably priced.
