I told him to put HD valve springs it!

But NOOOO he didn't want to spend the extra $120 bucks. Here's what happens when you have a massive backfire with a wet kit at wide open throttle. Valve had a small part of the stem on it that drove down through the top of the piston locking the motor up at the 330' mark. you can't pull it out of the piston. that's an intake valve.

I know, When the econmy took a dump I had to let my shop that I had on the side go. The rent was killing me. So I pretty much have stuff piled up until I finish my shop in the back corner of my property. I have had a ton of engine jobs so far this year. I hate it but for now it's all I got.

So retainers aren't necessary? Just the springs? Which ones do you recommend for my moderate turbo build? 10 psi stock motor.....

NICE!! It is always cool to see the damage to internal parts. I wonder if engines feel pain?!!

And here is what you get when a Busa motor installed in a formula "v'" car class does not have a manual cam chain tensioner and the car spins out in a corner and reverses the rear wheel rotation before the driver could get the clutch in...

It turned into a triple HD's are V-twin. I just use the APE HD valve springs. It is a mild motor. The stock retainers are good enough.
