WA State Trooper you can Suc^ It!
For the first time in my life I came across a chump of a Trooper, until now every one I have met on the side of the road has been fair, just and even friendly once or twice. But yesterday while gearing up to get back on the bike (zx14) with my girlfriend at a Fred Meyers in Mt. Vernon, I had just started the bike and was waiting for my Girlfriend to finish strapping her gloves on I see this lifted truck pull up next to me very swiftly and way to close. I've got my eye on my side mirror watching this guy get out and approach my Girlfriend, He is saying something to her, I kill the engine and see this guy asking my Girlfriend if my tail lights were stock in a ridiculous manner. I turn to him and say yes my bike came with this tail light from the factory, its then that he states he is a off duty State Trooper and that he did not believe it was stock and that it was illegal. Confused as to to why this younger Trooper decided to harass my Girlfriend and I on a awesome day in a Fred Meyer parking lot over this I replied "well i've been riding this bike for 20,000 miles and never had a issue with this before" He replied with a threat "well i'm on vacation".
At this point I felt like putting him in a hospital bed for the rest of his vacation, but then my better half convinced me to just drive away and continue our trip over the mountains to Winthrop on hwy 20 and not let this Poor excuse for a Man or Cop take that away. After a hour or so I calmed down but for awhile my blood was boiling, I just cant understand why he felt the need to harass us when we were doing nothing wrong. And for the record the tail light is STOCK, I should know as I bought the bike new.

Yeah dude. Sounds like a mentally challenged civillian to me.
Unless you got his name & badge, I wouldn't think of him as a Trooper...

That guy is more likely a major toolbox wannabe but he is no trooper. I wouldn't loose any sleep over that 3000..

Did you get a ticket ?...If not then who cares!!!...You did good by not engaging him!!!
Dont know if he showed you ID, if not then next time ask for it to save yourself aggravation...

I would've sprinted up on him just for talking to my girl.........and then made sure he showed me ID of some sort.........and if he wouldn't, then there would have been a finger in the air as I climbed back on my beast and piped the ever loving sh*t out of it on my way out

more like a tripper. i had an incident similar to that several years ago, wasn't on my bike though. driving through the city this dope pulls out of a parking lot right in front of me driving a black mercedes. i turned my suv hard left to avoid hitting him and layed on the horn. he then pulls up to me and gives me the bird. i'm thinking wtf, so i return the favor, he then lowers his window and says he's a cop and wants me to pull over. i keep driving and dial 911 and tell them whats going on and they tell me not to pull over, just wait for a police car and sure enough seconds later a couple are behind us and we both pull over. the butthole from the mercedes then runs over to the police car stating i was trying to run him off the road and that i was claiming to be a police officer. he didn't know i had been on the phone all along, in fact 911 was still listening as the officer approached by window. it turned out he had warrants and was taken away.

I HATE young punk statey's that think their sh*t don't stink.........calling the highway "their hi-way" and crap like that........we pay their damn salary, and our money paves the roads we drive.......and yet they take ownership of the roads like it's more than their job or something.........I've got NO friends that are state patrollers but I believe they're all full of it to some degree

That's an awesome little tale..........wish I had that kind of control with my temper - I'd have threw an elbow through his window and drug him out of the car to proceed beating him until he pissed blood

I had a MI state trooper stalk me for 4 days to give a warning. I seen him on a Sunday afternoon while ridding my girlfrends bike (cleaning the carbon out of it). I left out of town that night. Came home on Thursday night and he pulled in my driveway and not even ten minutes later he was knocking at my door. He stated he seen me on Sunday going a little fast and just wanted to give me a warning. How did he know it was me and how in the hell did he know where I live? The bike is in my girlfrends name and she was with me when I was out of town. Where I live in MI, the state troopers have meth labs to find and wife beaters to catch. But instead this young a-hole of a trooper needed to be a tuff guy and track me down to give me warning 4 days later.

I doubt a trooper that was on his vacation would have stopped over a tail light. "think about it". I bet most cops on vacation would not try and capture a known felon. That sounds like some dude that was crazy.

The trooper was setting on a coner waiting for speeders. I pulled up next to him and nodded and left a little faster than most people do when they leave a stop sign. But if I was speeding or acceling faster than I should have, then why wait 4 days to give me a warning. He should have pulled me over gave me a ticket if I did something wrong. It would have at least made some $ for the state and justified his time doing nothing.
