Exhaust for the 14

Hey guys and gals, anyone with any experience with the Delkevic slipons? I called their number in Colorado but the quality of info was highly suspect and made me uncomfortable about sending money without more input! The price is unbeatable...$428.95 for carbons for choice of 13" or 18" or so they said on the phone! Thanks!

Tommy does not like nor need Loud. He gets in enough trouble with stock exhaust. :-)

I'm actually thinking of going back to the stock exhaust with some quiet slip ons. Would be nice to go back into stealth mode.

I have not heard of those slip-ons.

Area P is a good choice, imo. They will custom make them to your specs...and cheaper, with higher quality, than most:

Check them out!

Shane do you think they could make a quiet slip on so I can put it on and still use my Brocks header and midpipe on my alienhead?

Yes, did you see my Carbon Meg they made? It mounted to my Brock's header. Very custom...and to my exact specs. They can do whatever you want, at a reasonable cost. Send Kerry an email!

Some more examples of custom mufflers from Area P:

The oval is mounted on a Muzzy M14, the Meg on Brock's header.

Great stuff!

A guy I run occasionally at the track has Delkevic Slip-ons on his VMAX so that ruins it for me right there...lol

But I agree with everyone that a full system is the way to go. Lots of full systems that are quiet..Akrapovic, Yosh, and even the Brocks Gen III isn't too loud, I have one on my ZRX1200 with the 14" can. If you went with the 21" can it would drop it down a few more decibels.

Thanks guys for all your suggestions. I talked to Area P a while back and was leaning in that direction but they said the 21/2" carbons were pretty loud and $695. I heard the Delkevic on youtube and they were as quiet as stock, maybe a little throaty rumble at idle. I'm not looking for optimum performance, just a little bling and like Louis said, I got all the scitte and git in my Busa that I can handle!!! You did say that didn't you Louis? LOL!!! Loved your pics of the Arkansas trip, happy you guys did'nt have to boat it home. BTW, Delkevic's stainless are on now for $300. I would like to do business with a company that is being real about their pricing but buying a pig in a poke ain't my style, w/o more info. Thanks again to everybody!
