Need your opinion
A guy just sold me zx14 wheels and both are bent on one side. I mounted them to axle, spun them, and they noticibly dip (on the lip) in one spot each revolution. In my paypal I made sure to indicate I was only buying them under the conditions that they were in great physical shape, and in PERFECT working condition. They are obviously not in perfect working condition. I've asked for my money back and I said I would ship them back. But..... should I also demand that he sends me additionally money for shipping? Or is this just the nature of online transactions? He already spent $65 shipping them to me......

I would ask him for a full refund since the wheels are bent and he told you they were fine. I would also ask him to cover your return shipping or tell him you will just do him a favor and throw them in a dumpster since in essence they are worthless. Let us know how it goes.

I would at least ask for the shipping back can't hurt if he honest he will give it to you, but don't expect it after all he gave you bent wheels and said the where good.

The guy lied to you. Not your fault that he spent 65 bucks shipping.

A place called frame straight in Kentucky or tennessee does really good work. I sent a Cast magnesium Dymag 3 spoke from an R1 to him last year and it came back better than new. Serious.

File a paypal dispute for non as described, paypal will deduct the amount from his bank account and surely he will work with you otherwise paypal will give you a full refund.

He sent the money back and seems like a stand-up guy. I am going to look into the cost of shipping vs straightening.

Screw straightening. Regardless what others may say I think a bent wheel will never be the same.
