Pingel electric shifter???
I didnt know where to post this so I put it here.
In our local group we have a guy who has a Goldwing trike, he lost his legs a couple years back due to sickness and injury. We plan on raising some money to help him get an electric shifter for his bike. Now he has to reach accross his body and shift with a lever. Can you give me your opinion on the Pingel electric shifter. Thanks

They work very well. A lot of guys around here use air shifters for various reasons. For a street bike and electric shifter would be ideal.

I have a pingle electric shifter. I love it for the track never missed a shift as for the street as long as you keep a load on the transmission(keep giving it throttle) it works good upshifting. As for downshifting you still have to give it throttle to shift. It has missed several downshifts therofore I dont use it much for downshifting anymore. This may all be cured by giving it more kill time but for my application its used primarilly for track use and does a great job at it.
