I been kicking around the idea of aluminum sprockets but keep getting to the conclusions they simply don't last on a big power bikes like these. It might be fine on a lightweight like my 750 but I'm not so sure of durability on something close to 200hp like this even with 530 sporckets. I don't drag race but I do ride hard and I do rack up many miles. If I were to get one it's for weight savings purpose as I like the stock gearing.

I have about 2K miles on my current 43 rear Vortex with
ZERO signs of wear.
Wheel alignment, sprocket alignment, chain maintenance etc.- it all matters!

i've got 6k street miles and about 6 passes on my 46t aluminum rear sprocket, and it still looks like it did the day that I put it on. I actually don't think i've ever seen anyone have problems out of a vortex... but that's just me.

+1 on taking care of your shit... if you're a retard that can't adjust a chain, and leaves it dirty all the time then you're going to have problems. I come from the dirt, so i'm a chain and air filter NAZI...

I need to change my Vortex rear. I have about 8k on it and it is in pretty bad shape. I hardly ever lube or clean my chain, maybe every 3k. My Vortex was not that bad until I took a 2k trip to the mountains from South Florida, for whatever reason that seemed to really do it in. I think it held up pretty well all things considered...
