I was a sucker once...tried some really expensive plugs like $80 a set than add the dyno runs made a whopping 1 hp vs a fresh set of CR10E this was on a 1070 1k but i'm sure no different for a zx-14.

It was not worth it, but my inquiring mind took control of my wallet LOL! $ 150 later..

This was another waste of money..

It looekd and sounded promising, made well, but never saw or felt any gains. Was supposed to keep the airbox pressirized and give you partial ram air at highway speeds or something liek that.

The web link is dead now

Takes balls to own that one Rick. Everybody that's honest here has a shelf or bin with the latest and greatest parts that didn't work. Not all will admit it though.

The fan has to make at least 29 psi. and/or over, inside of that air cleaner box. First 14.7 is taken up buy the engine suck. The next sucker move is to push another 14.7 psi on the box, force a classic ram effect at it. This is basic physics know, going in. Someone came up with the math and needed 600hp to generate a fan a pressure 28psi. He should have made a fan that strong over your felt fiber. The guy who when through all that work had no clue is a dead website if not ridiculed off the net someone catches that elixir theory.

To me, that fan is in the way, slowing down some air bubble fighting up, over, and around getting into the chamber before the fuel throws off the proportion like a dirty air cleaner. Now, there is a slight rich condition. Maybe you lost power, the lower rich torque it made ate it up; you felt nothing.

The ole live and learn.... You can stand by and wait for someone else to try something and play it safe or take a risk and may discover something works!

But in fairness some products may work no way those $80 spark plugs ... but i recall the Attack racing CF airbox I later sold to Sal (Iceman) many years ago when after installing and sending e-mails to Attack who never replied ... I lost huge numbers in the mid range and was really pissed what I spent than sold to Sal which he got to work on his 1k with a special filter and mapping he made.

I believe he gained 3-4 mph on his top end just my lack of knowledge back in 2001 it failed for me but worked for someone else. Just wish Attack would had replied surely they knew but..maybe they thought i was not just a consumer and instead from a different team.

zx14fan:

I was rebuilding my own motocross engines and 2 stroke top ends back when i was 12 years old in 1982, and my first 4 stroke, a 396 chevy Big block, in 1986, when the best part of you hadn't even met the curtains yet.

The professors don't write articles, the students do, and the profs correct them, so get it straight.

The world is already full of talkers, takers and belly achers.
Why don't you contribute for a change?
All I ever seen from you was refute without basis or fundamental knowledge.
Instead of doubting the world and asking for proof, provide your own proof
show us how smart you are instead of telling us.

Wee, and a few others here have many more years on me.
I assure you many of us already knew about plug heat ranges, indexing plugs, and gapping for the application a long long time ago.
Thats really, really old news.
