2008 zx14 with 21000klms
my bike today making bad noise at idle an when you gas it it goes away when it comes back to idle its rattling away trying to find a good mechanic in ballarat-vic-australia
any help would be great thanks

I bet its the cam chain tensioner, mine is more prone to doing that when the oil is at the low end of the window, but its never been that bad. Check the oil level to start. You might want to look into the cct mod here on this site and try that, or replace the cct with a manual one.

Got the same issue. Talked to a few other guys on the forums and it seems like it just happens on some bikes. No loss of power or anything just a damn tapping sound. One guy on here said it's just the valves doing there business nothing out of the ordinary.

Apparantly a normal issue with the CCT.
BTW if you're an Aussie check out Douglas Home on this site, both of you might have some places you buy or get ZX14 stuff from.
He got some nice cheap tires a while back.

thanks glad im not the only one on cold start up you hear it for a split second then goes away when it wormed up at ide it started to rattle goes away with gasing it.

well verdict is cct dealer is doing it bike is 20 days out of warranty kwaka coming to the party
