Ticking noise or exhaust leak after m10 install...
Ok I seen threads on this and hate to bore you guys but what is up with the tick tick at startup? The last time I heard that, my zx11 needed some major engine work. I have a 07 zx14 with only 2800 rounds. The noise is at startup and it sounds good at idle but I can hear a exhaust leak too. I was dumb and reused the old gaskets, is that it? Any new things out there? I mean some of the old threads are from 07 and 08....thanks fellows!

I didn't have this issue with the Brocks. Is this crazy to think?

Search "cct" That's probably the ticking you're hearing when the bike first starts up. To fix the exhaust leak, take it back off and put in new gaskets. I just did the same thing!

Has anyone swaped to an 09 cct? Smokin posted that it had a different part #. That weird sound is driving me crazy too.

Mine does the same thing on cold starts, its the cct,don't worry about. Get new gaskets, and getta Brock's exhaust! Lol! If ya smellllll! What he's cookin.

The Brock is a disease,it can't be put in you and you can't take it out,your born with it. Thank goodness I'm a Muzzy Manz.

Thanks I have asked that same thig. A 2009 owner posted his 09 has CCT rattles for a second on cold start. The all is quiet. Not our answer. ummm modded ZX-12 I guess if it ever starts to rattle like Lee's 06 had done at 50,000 miles. Smokin posted his 09is quiet on cold start? Bently changed to Amsoil and his 14 went quiet. I changed to same Amsoil stii cold rattle on cold start. I will keep going until it rattles when hot. Then a manual adj or ZX-12 or ???

I had a leak when installing a Muzzy on a ZX12R. i went back after the bike had cooled and re-tightened the header bolts. cured the leak. the gaskets always need to be NEW>

Finally got a chance to get in the garage and work on the 14. installed new gaskets and bye bye noise...thanks again guys!!!
