Goodridge brake lines advice.
I have just forked out for a set of Goodridge braided stainless front and rear brake lines. I also got myself one of those Mtyvac brake bleeding kits. It's getting into the crap riding weather here now so I've stripped the beast down for some servicing and installing the lines. Are there any tricks or how-to procedures I should follow when installing them? I've gone with the Dot 5 synth racing fluid too, if that makes any difference.
Pics of the beast will follow.

I went with Russell lines, but if the Goodridge is a 2 line set-up and not a y like the stocker on the front. If that is the case leave the banjo bolts loose to give the lines more flex because mine were a pain to get the banjo bolt started into the master cylinder. The paired lines are suprisingly stiff. Hope this is of help to you. Peyton

You might want to check that fluid choice & go to a DOT4 or 5.1 synth. that is compatable with a DOT4 system. A DOT5 fluid may not work in the ZX-14. I haven't tried it in the zx but it definately didn't in other bikes with a DOT4 system.

Yes, the Goodridge lines are a 2 line set-up. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for that. As it turns out, I was incorrect in my understanding. I am using Motul RBF600 "racing brake fluid". After reading the label with a magnifying glass, it is a DOT4 fluid. I beleive it just has a higher boiling point than other fluids.

I've just had a look at the brake lines, and where they're supposed to go. I've bought the dual line set-up. Can someone give me an idea on how they should be routed.

Your choice, either single line from master to right caliper then second from right caliper to left caliper or both lines at master to left & right calipers which is my preferred path.
