Best Mods

I just purchased a 2006 zx14. he bike is bone stock with 1800 miles. I want to do some engine work to the bike, but have been told several different things. Can someone tell me the best option to go with because money is an isse.

!. Muzzy Big Bore Kit/Springs/Brock Exhaust and Bazzaz Box

2. Polished Head/Cams/Port Job/Brock Exhaust and Bazzaaz Box

Any other suggestions would be helpful. I will be doing all of the normal mods of course first.

Do you race below 4000 rpms ? ... Ported head , stock cams , milled head .020 , brocks pipe and brocks race map will get you 190+ hp on my dyno plus a butt load of TQ .. Big bore or stroker on the street you will have to deal with a hotter running engine ... It's up to you ..

Thanks. So leave the stock cams in. Do I need a valve job or is it a waste of money?

I just installed a set of BST carbonfiber wheels on my ZX14 and it feels like it lost 100 lbs. The handling is AMAZING !

see there... your wife is running her mouth again. If you read a little more into the threads posted by drag racers you would have seen the huge gains that lee got out of jesses bike for a very reasonable price by just having a valve job and milling .020.

Hey Chromed... Don't forget about the best mod you can do on an 06/07... Pull those pesky secondary flies and wake up the beast that's waiting to get out of that bad boy. I can guarantee you that if you put a pipe, PC and pull the flies you'll be pleasantly surprised .

Factory comes with 3 angle , a race type valve job will be 5 angle and if you add back cutting the under side of the exhaust valve to improve exhaust flow 6 .... A simple race type Valve job can and will increase flow at low lift numbers .. Low lift numbers are just as important as high lift numbers .. If you think a factory production valve job is the best you got rocks for brains ..

It is probably about 4 hours from you. Maybe 5. It is not to far from Indy.
