Headwork Q's

Been reading up on Smokins and others (Y2KZX12R) posts about head work and milling .020.
Great info! Excellent results!

What is really involved though?

Head work is reportedly around $250 ish for a mild daily streetable job. Right?
How much time/labor is involved in removal / reinstall? Setting up cams, ECT??

Will a "off the shelf" Brock's map work?

To afraid to do the install myself so how much am I looking at spending?

I was thinking of having the head pulled and sent to CompetitionCNC but now I see a post by someone from Chicago area and a place called OSR Bikes & Motors.
Any thoughts on them and find a good local installer here in Madison, WI?

Sorry if this has been already asked and answered.

If you can't find anybody by you, i'm right by chicago and can do the R&R on the bike, install the new head from osr or smokin, degree and shim the cams and get you riding again.

I would also ad a good set of valve springs and adjustable cam gears at the same time.

Thanks! But I'll be damned if I know where to click to read a PM! (Help!)

Compton, how do I reach you?

Been reading other posts on build ups and getting good info but desire more!

Not looking for a track or strip only bike, just a stronger daily rider.
