chain tensioner
Im having trouble understanding the serv manual on resetting the tensioner

08 ZX14, 2010 Persimmon Red bodywork.
Flies pulled, 16-42, BMC street, 8" extensions, drag shock, cut pan, Cycle Concepts Drag Pack and springs, muzzy m14 w/ oval can, lowered, Shinco usoft rear, pcv with autotune, leightweight Shori 18ah battery, throttle meister. 500lbs at bandimeres scales with half tank of juice.

Pg. 5-15:
Top photo is installed like the bottom photo's direction = Install UP.
2nd photo shows B as the stopper clip like a mousetrap cheeze tray and hook. You need to squeeze A like pinch both sides and raise the B clip so the rod can slide in. Shove D all the way in the cage till you hit C and stop. Release the squeeze on B. Do this as All in one movement say.
3rd photo down, you take that long flat blade screwdriver, and press down on rod A. Out she pops.
So, before you install it, practice popping out the shaft, she is not going anywhere but stay in the cage. Slide the cage in the head and hold it there. Practice where you need to tap it like a mousetrap. Make sure that flat blade extends down there to trigger the rod. The cage should push housing away from the head if you set the rod off. But...
... Once you hand trigger the tensioner, you'll be an 'ol pro, shove it in and pop it off like nothing.
