Four into one question
Im looking to buy a 4 into 1 header.I know you drag guys have seen and heard them all.Im wondering who makes a 4 into 1 thats quiet? I ride twistys only and somtimes three hundred miles a day so noise is a factor.The only other pipes I have had on my 14 was the carbon muzzy slip ons and though they were not loud they had a buzz that would drive you crazy.i sold them here the next day but later found out that muzzy didnt always pack them fully and with a little work I could get the buzz out of them so perhaps i sold them to soon?

Yosh makes a very quiet 4-2-1 . I 've heard 1 at the track. Couldn't evenb hear it.

Akrapovic or kr tuned are quieter. I'm also looking and am leaning towards Orient express highmount. All quieter than Brocks

i have yosh R77,with the baffle on it is not far from stock.

Any of the Muzzy cans are very quiet unless you are thrashing on her. The 18" long puts the noise behind you and is noy annoying at all on long rides.

Yosh makes a a great 4 into 1 and it has the removable baffle. Very easy to install and take out, only 1 hex screw to remove.

I also have the Yosh R77 with the quiet insert installed because I don't like the drone of noisy exhaust. I also tried it without it and noticed it had better low to mid range with it installed. All the ranges are better than stock even with the insert in. Have had in since last summer several thousand miles no problems. I really doesn't sound impressive and that's what impresses me, with the insert out it does.

just change the gearing... i heard it helps more than pulling the flies and adding a pipe anyway.

Hum,it says Craig Christ on the header,but it sounds just like Zx14fan when read. I am confused now.

Borcks map .......work. :-) ...shhhhh Friend has TRC Yosh 4/2/1 stainless. baffell out and orginal packing with 26,000 miles..is Loud at 10,000 hurt you ears in garage when setting TP with lap top...........WOT....WTF..... where that come from. Martys SMEG oh hell Yes LOUD in shop.
All need to keep packing new or Loud it WILL be. Baffell in the TRC is Much more quiet but it could be better if packing was replaced.
Years ago Staintune made silencers with stainless mesh inside instead of mat wrapping
inside. They stayed the same D.B.,s a long time. Never researched to see if they make any product for a 14. just sayin don't think a new 4/2/1 will "stay quiet".........

I'm actually working right now.
I'm doing a full service on a severerly used and negletcted '00 R1.
I just checked the valves 2 seconds ago and they're surprisingly still within spec with 35k on the clock.
So maybe this bike isn't as neglected as we thought ? Know one knows but at least she's good in the valve department. Now , back to tackling every other thing that's wrong with her lol!

My alienhead forced me into wearing earplugs. Never wore them before on any other bikes but the alienhead took it to another level. Now I love wearing earplugs when I ride. Only one pipe for me. Borqs.
