I think you could get them from RC hobby supply stores. They make some big ones for huge r/c airplanes now. But its going to be hard to make your own for less than buying the speed cell one I bet.

There is another guy from the forum that is selling them, but he's not willing to sell to me as I'm outside the US. Does anyone have the brand name of these units and I can probably source it on my own.
I already have a speedcell for my 12, but I'm looking for the other type for one of my R1's.
They seem to be a bit cheaper and I'm willing to give one a try.

I just can't ship overseas, tracking and lost packages has been a big hassle and expense for me. Sorry

I just looked at Indy superbikes.com for a pc v zx14. 233 bucks, good deal till you see the shipping. UPS to Thailand is 156 friggin dollars for a piece that weighs about 3 oz's?
They must be on drugs.

I'm guessing you can't get another member to buy what you need (after you pay them), and post them to you as a 'gift'?
That postage seems a bit off mate!

Actually, I've done that before, But I just don't like asking favors. I know it's a hassle to make it to the post. If I'm having some work done or something, I'll try to get the item delivered so it can go in the same box.
But at the end o0f the day......UPS SUCKS.

I had USPS loose more oversea's boxes than I care to count. UPS has never lost one yet. They have missed placed a box for a week or so but always found it back.

I think it actually depends on the "deal" between the us shipper and the country receiving the goods. I have had tons of stuff sent from the states by usps and never a problem, yet ups and DHL i.e Deliver Half later are consistently late. I had some studs sent by ARP a couple years ago, the only way they would ship was ups, I paid 90 bucks for 2nd day air, 3 weeks later the stuff showed up and of course no apology and especially no refund.

UPS delvers a large number of USPS packages.
Outside of the major US cities (say in NH and ME) UPS drivers deliver all the mail on certain routes,
you see UPS drivers drive away from the USPS stores with their boxes and do deliveries on daily basis.
