PC3 TPS Iimits
After four years and 11,380miles of owning this bike I have never reset/set my Throttle Position Sensor... With the engine off my closed and open settings are 1584 and 1762 throttle which seem way off. I need another PC3
With the engine on the limits are 6000 and naturally I cant set the open limit with the bike running....
What open and closed limits are you guys getting when you're reseting the TPS. I know everybike is different and these numbers wont help my throttle calibration. I just wanna get an idea of the numbers you all are seeing when doing this...
Thanks

Nelson you can set it open and closed by starting the bike and using the the kill switch and leave the key in the on position to go wot without the bike running to acomplish the reset. Hope that helps.

Yeah I just tried.... My PC3 doenst communicate with the bike when the engine is not running. Thanks for the suggestion though..
With the bike running the WOT limit reads 23868.. Does that sounds right?

Hook a Fresh 3 volt up with the supplied adapter and it will work just fine. If you stop to reairead unplug the battery asap because it will eat a hot energiser up in a very short period.

68gts2,
Okay I just went and tried the 9volt method it and it gives me the following:
Closed and open settings are 1584 and 1762... I am getting a notice saying that the limits are below the recommended setting. Do you want to proceed with these?
My re-pinned version is not letting me reset the TPS.
I could probably set it on a dyno. That the only place I could get a WOT reading without hurting the motor.
I am just gonna take the PC3 off and get the right one. Thanks

Nelson sorry for the mis-spell on 9 volt, the wife was talking while I was typing and I didn't edit before posting. The numbers seem similar to what we got on 1st tps re-set at 4000 miles. What do you mean about your re-pinned version? I will be trying my new map later today and will be re-setting tps again after running the injector cleaner,as well as learning how to use the fuel pump feature which the map is built around. I will have my laptop operator, read wifey, jot down all of the values we get so we can compare them. I post results as the wife and I do the updates in a couple of hours.its 6am here and my laptop specialist refuses to start this early.

usually is around 5300-5500 for closed and around 22-24000 for WOT
Bike off. let throttle at rest. SHOULD read around 5000. Hit reset button.
Then Span the throttle by turning it WOT, this will then set your WOT TPS
