I have really been turned off by amsoil lately ... Not the oil but the customer service. They make 35,000 mile oil but don't make a filter that last over 7,500 miles. They told me to use a wix filter. Dosent that defeat the purpose of having that oil?? Jacking a toyota Camry up sucks.

My late Dad worked for Toyota for many years. he always said a Toyota oil filter had a better check valve than the after market. I have had a old Corolla go 240,000 miles with regular Penzoil and OEM filters changed every 4000 miles never a problem. He passed away last year and left me a new 2009 Camry that I use OEM filters on. I am sure other filters work fine but I am old school 35,000 mile oil...I will pass for a passanger car driven daily.

Dusty, I don't have a clue why Amsoil doesn't offer a synthetic filter that would last 25,000 miles for your vehicle like they do for most vehicles. Our advice to you for the cheapest option should have been to just stick with the original oil and filter to go with the manufacturers interval unless you wanted to just change the filter every 7500 miles. A refund will be heading your way. Sorry for the inconvience.

You can use the P.I. but you'll have to be very careful with the amount. I would try the Quick shot. It's made for power sports and comes in a smaller container. If you would like pricing info. with the wholesale price that we offer to Bikeland members just give Tressie a call. 1-866-984-4664

Probably because 35,000 miles later im sure the filter is riddled with contaminants nearly clogging it, the filter would probably have to be fairly large to suspend 35,000 miles of contaminants and not clog. I seriously have no problem changing my oil in regular intervals in any of my vehicles.

James they just had a recall on the filter I put on our maxima, and tried to give me a $5 filter in replacement o the $14 filter that's recalled. I didn't get it, the tech guys didn't want to explain a whole lot to me. I just wasn't impressed with them the last two times I've called. 2 or the 3 vehicles i run it in now don't have the proper filter.

Thanks, I will carefully measure out how much PI is added. There is marks on the side of the bottle at 5 gallon increments. I have recently had an issue with spark pinging come up, I found that the intake boot clamps were all very loose. After snugging them down almost all the spark pinging stoped. But there is still some very light pinging when quickly rolling into and out of the throttle. I figured id try a injector / valve cleaner before buying and installing a power commander to correct this issue. I have gone about 16,000 miles with out any spark pinging or tunning issues, so Im hopeing its just dirty injectors or some build up. The only thing that has changed was my location, I moved from TX to WA then this problem showed up.

I understand, Tressie is the best support for us. She answers questions better than the factory support guys. She'll fix you up. Just give her a call. She'll send you another brand from walmart if she has to. Believe me we want to make it right. Thanks

I have been selling and using Amsoil P.I. for years, in my skoots and trucks. It works for sure , tho i always double the dosage as it helps to clean everything faster. I will be taking my Busa apart soon and will be looking closely at the intake valves for any accumulation of deposits.

Anti Spam.......Bently said...........Amsoil = CCT quiet on 2006/2007 14. Mine still does it.

Wynn's Power Charger in 2 gals of gas rode 50 miles and refilled and rode 150 miles...........No Difference....

doubt no one can butt dyno fell 2HP at this level. My 14 ran fine to start with. Preventive maintance.

Smokin did post on a Dyno with "Dirty Injectors" he could "See" the difference. And said you would not feel it. But Brocks "Said" ummmmm was that a Spam thread???

Just sayin.......... no flame war here.... and NOT knocking any product. Only posting what I tried. I am sure both products are "Quality" and do help.

I didnt mean to stir up anything here. Is anyone else having or had any spark pinging issues with this bike? Is a small ammount of pinging acceptable? Ive yet to try this amsoil stuff, im waiting for a good day to fill up and ride.

Thru the years i have also tried and used other brands of F.I. cleaners in my trucks and skoots and have achieved the same results. I first tried a fi cleaner back in 1997 when my Dodge Ram was 2 yo and had bout 30,000 miles on it. Man...what a difference! The longer one goes not using some form of cleaner the more noticeable the improvements.
I carry Amsoil cuz i just add it into my oil orders, makes it easy on me.

I would say. No....pinging is Not cool on any engine. Run a full tank of Shell or Chevron

93 and see if it quits.
