New personal best on Saturday

I went to Tri State Dragway in Hamilton, Ohio for T+T on Saturday and here is what I ran:

R/T..........363

60'........1.459

330'.....3.869

1/8.......5.872

MPH...122.59

1/4......9.108

MPH...150.42

This was done with a fuel mix of around 90% Sunoco 89 and 10% MR-11.

My set up is : 17/48, WB 67 1/2, Ti-Winder

I weigh around 220 lbs suited.

Great job but why did you mix the fuels?

I was low on money and passed on buying another pail of fuel. I had about 1/2 gallon of
MR-11 left so I just mixed it with pump gas to finish it off.

Truthfully I went with the intention of practicing my launch and lowering my 330' times
but the air and track conditions were such that things worked out in my favor.

When I buy more fuel I'm probably going to get two pails so I don't miss an opportunity
like this again.

There is probably 4 to 6 weeks of good air left before it gets hot and humid here. Then I'll
have to wait until fall comes around.

I thought that maybe you mixed them for some other reason. MR11 is VP's new fuel, right? Or, is it MR12? On the air thing I fully understand I think we are done with good air in Florida.

MR-12 is the newest fuel. I have not tried it yet.

Awesome! If you'd had a good tailwind, the time slips would've probably read 8.9something!

The bike runs quite well on MR-11. I can't give a valid comparison at this time. When I was
running MR-11 I didn't have the amount of traction available like I did on Saturday. Also, I
was not launching at the same RPM. 3000 RPM on MR-11 and 3500 - 4000 on pump gas.
When I get some more fuel I'm going to launch at 3500 - 4000. I have gone down 1 tooth
in the rear as I am still rasing the front end higher than I would like.

The first thought when I got the slip was "Hot Damn!!!". And shortly thereafter I wondered
what it would have been had I been running straight MR-11.

Oh well...
