want to make my new titanium short meg louder
What can I do to make it louder... We cant remove the baffle in these... Maybe Ill try to get ahold of brock and see what he says.. I know you can remove the rivets, but I dont know if I want to..

My CT Meg is pretty damn loud. Not quite as loud as my buddy's busa with an alien head but damn close. The only way to make it any louder would be to remove the packing or just remove the muffler as zixxer said...lol...but I don't know why.

I dont know... I just like that loud sound.. probably from growing up with family building big v8 motors... Who knows, maybe Im just an idiot...lol.. I probably wont do anything to it.. Im definately not taking it off... I just like the noise I guess...

Johnson,
I hear you!! I have the shortmeg and I"m running it without the baffle. The noise has saved me more than once!! Especially with these idiots driving and texting and not paying attention to where they are driving!!

I love the LOUDNESS!! Anytime I wave at a passing harley or cruiser that don't wave back.........they get a monster earfull of the big Brock! Same with cars on the road that are in the way or don't see me? -- Pipe 'em all bigtime! Works way better than the stock horn

I have run "Open Megs"on the street off and on for years. 5 A.M. going to work or early morning with open Meg on a 98 ZX-9R pissed of the neighbors and I tried to be Easy getting out of our neighboor hood. A reverse cone open meg that takes the place of the mid pipeand rear silencer. Last Drag Pipe D&D "that worked" :-) for a jap bike. Reminded of the Darg Strip. Ya Play ya Pay. Thay called the cops on me and waiting next morning................... carbon fiber silencer was back on that 4/2/1. Brocks open SMEG has a sound :-) Follow me Loud............ Great horn in traffic I agree but getting there is the trick lol.

I had that exact same problem with my morning commute, but my Streetmeg still has the packing -- so, I bought one of the noise reduction plugs Brocks carries -- it did help, but only at really low rpm.........never had the police called, just trying to avoid that much heat from my neighbors.........been a year now, so far so good
