I made my own brackets for a zx10 fender, and it's almost on the tire! I didn't want a large space in between the tire and fender. I think it looks goofy that way.

Gilberjj. That would explain why I had to trim the rear corners of the fender. It was hitting my rotors. Good to go now.

Bestem CF ZX-10 with Dubious brackets. Bestem also makes a ZX-14 CF front
fender now. No trimming and bolted on with no problems.

my fender only sits 3/8" off the fender, with the 2CT...
I have never claimed it lowers the fender, it was made for street, with stock sized tire.

I would not want the fender any closer to the tire than I have now. I have the 2nd
design brackets Dubious had made. The work great and no clearence problems.
Remember the tire gets a little taller at 190. :-) I don't think my fender looks goofy.
Looks stock height to me. Just sayin.

I was speaking about lowering the stock fender. When you put a 60 series tire on the front the fender sits way off of the tire.

Measure and drill and tap Dubious brackets To lower fender??. Did not realize the brackets Lyle sell worked on a ZX-14 fender. Never tried that. Looks good with a ZX-10 style fender they were designed for. Just sayin.

I noticed ride height had a big impact on cooling effectiveness, when i first got the bike it was sort of low, it used to heat up on the freeway traffic and streets (was almost to the H mark). Now that i raised my bike front and rear to have a higher ride height it doesn't run as hot as it used to. Probably because of the larger gap between the bottom of the nose cone and the front fender. Now i wonder if the were to lower the fender closer to the tire enlarging the gap further it would have a better positive effect on cooling. Ive always notice the lowered and strapped bikes ran hotter then those that had normal ride height. Either way im happy that my bike is not as hot as when i first got it. It usually sits 1 bar from the bottom on freeway speeds and in traffic it doesn't go past the half mark. I have had made no other changes since i bought it.
