Just as a point reference... Sonny (thefastestunknown) ran 5.95 @124 and 9.15 @152 on brocks dairy bike with the smeg and stock gearing when Brock was doing the diary of the ZX14.

I said that to say that Smokin your 5.89 was likely a 9.0 pass in the 1/4..... (Applause)

Yes Sonny did, but he was using MR9, not pump gas so Smokin's numbers are even more impressive.

ya but you need to remember Sonny does not have much seat time on a 14 and weighs more. Both smokins and sonnys times are great but totaly different IMO. The MR9 probably did not even make up for the weight difference in the two riders. Numbers like that are hard to compare. to be fair Sonny needs 1000 passes of seat time On a 14 then see what he runs. And I sure Wish smokin would go run an AMA race in supersport with a bone stock motored bike and see where he falls cause I would say he could damn near win one.

Yea, I forgot about the weight, Sonny is like 185 lb suited, I'm not sure how much the 9 to 10 hp that mr9 makes helped to compensate for that, maybe not at all like you said.

MR9 will make up for that weight difference. If Smokin could do this without the air shifter we would definitely make him run SS this fall. Without the full head work the other bikes will still come around him on top end.

Keep in mind that rider weight essentially doesn't matter in SS, because the minimum weight of bike and rider for a 14 is 680 pounds. Adding ballast to make the weight is probably the norm.

Also "XXX F-118 Force is the spec fuel for the class and the only fuel permitted."

Complete rules are at:

http://www.amadragbike.com/rules/Section_4.htm#4.3.3

EDIT: That says 2009 rulebook??? Sorry, don't have time to look more right now, but that should be close???

If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Where not really talking weight for ss we where talking wieght for stock wheelbase times. and also a light rider in ss is very important as well. would you rather have the weight up high in the rider or down low with ballast?
