Help from dragracers and LSR guys...
This is my 7th season riding. Ever since I started riding... all...and I mean ALL...the time I go WOT I tend to always end up pulling left. I will hammer it and I end up having to let off or put up a BIG leaning fight to keep it in my lane. WHY??
I have a chain alignment tool and my alignment is DEAD on. Is the force of the bike pulling and pushing me back making me some how move the bars so the bike goes left or what?
What's your thoughts?
Thanks.

I know you guys that accelerate hard constantly will probably have some good advice for me to break that habit.

As a roadracer it became second nature to steer the bike with my feet weighing the pegs. Some footshift dragracers veer left when they only keep the left foot up and probably still dont understand why the bike goes left. Could this be happening to you?

I didn't think of that. Now that I think of it I may be putting a crap load of weight on my left peg from the force of the bike accelerating and shifting. I will try to be more conscious of that next time I get on my bike. Thanks Kawasakijockey!
Also, let it be noted it does this to me in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and sometimes 4th gear when both feet are on my pegs. Maybe I need to add more weight to my right peg with my foot to make up for it. I'll see this week I guess.
Any other ideas anybody?

Nope, Kawasakijockey pretty much hit it on the head IMO. If you got any video, it'd be a lot easier to see what you were doing.
Do you launch with both feet down or with your left foot on the peg?

I launch with both feet on ground, but this isn't when launching my bike. I'm talking while I'm moving already in the first 4 gears where it pulls like a freight train. I will be cruising in 6th and kick it down to 2nd or 3rd and when I'm WOT it instantly pulls left, so my feet are already on pegs.
I bet I am putting too much weight on the left peg though. I will try to pay attention to my footing and post up if that works.

Really was not kidding you. If you 14 tracks straight at high speed when you slowly roll on the bike is fine. I "nut" up and lay down on the tank and try to keep balanced in the center and as far foward as I can.

I could see bar pull issues being on the throttle side.

Oh I know you weren't kidding, I was agreeing.
I will take all your advice and use it. I'm so sick of going left!

I have that problem when i go from long wheel base back to short wheel base ...I can fix the problem within a few passes.. Short wheel base foot shifting i put both feet just in front of the pegs and lift both feet at the same time ... You will have to remove the curb feelers off the bottom of the pegs so you pant legs don't get caught up on it .. Put your nuts on the tank , get you head over the center of the wind screen ..Arms bent and at the same level ... None of this chicken with a broken wing arm sticking up on the throttle side ... You want everything level and centered . Use your arms to keep yourself forward on the bike, no sliding back on the seat because that will upset the bike .I keep one finger tight around the grip ( index finger ) and 3 on the clutch lever..Pick a point in the center of your lane and keep your eyes glued to that point ..Remember you allways go where you are looking . If you are looking left you will go left ... We really need a video but my guess is you are off ballance and you really don't know it ..It would be easy to see in a video ..

Well.....I finally am aware on how to keep from going left thanks to you guys. Yesterday when I went WOT I concentrated more and realized when I start to go left it corrected when I applied more pressure on my right peg. So obviously my problem was that I wasn't realizing that I tend to push hard on my left peg when accelerating. I can now officially haul ass and keep it straight.
Thanks for helping me realize what I've been doing you all. Greatly appreciated.
