you think 60ft has everything to do with the tire?? Come on...Really.
I refer to the prostreet guys just because they have the most hp on a street tire.

ok, so your friend agrees with me... If there is something on the track a 12" slick will spin. WTF are you trying to say?
Just for the record, I don't run amsoil in my bike, just in my truck and car.

1Bad is very heavy, which helps traction a lot. What is your suited weight, 1Bad?
Also, I believe that Dusty is quicker on his stock motor bike at the dragstrip than you were on the turbo....unless you have gotten a lot quicker, which is always possible.

Never had any luck with an ultra soft, would hook for two or three passes then just go up in smoke. took it off and never had traction issues since.

300lbs suited and your wrong i've been quicker and faster than 9.05 @149.. i just don't advertize my best ever times ..
i didn't believe in the ultra soft either until i got 1 and it works on my junk ..power race burned up and costed me so many runs that i'd been alot faster had i switched a ways back ..cause i can't count the times my bike hit rev-limitor because of tire spin and then a mis-shift on a preped track ..

this is a quote from another forum just for you michelin groupies
Yes Tommy ran again later Sunday morning. We had it dialed in for the first run Sunday am, had about a 15 mph tail wind, had about 32psi of boost dialed in and it would have ran a BIG number....unfortunately the wind caught the kill switch lanyard and killed the bike at the 3/4 mile marker...he got it started back up and ran 223. We got it right back in line, taped the kill switch down and had to wait another hour to run....by that time the wind had shifted to a tail/cross wind and Tommy had to fight the wind hard after half track....he still went 256mph. We were gonna try one more pass but the new rear Power One tire was toast after only 5 passes. We were getting severe tire spin on every run, even going through the traps at 250mph pass it's literally spinning the rear tire through the traps.
Now Tommy has the WORLD RECORD for 1 MILE racing. 261.5 mph. He is not done either...still has a few tricks up his sleeve. LSR is on fire right now.....
Stay tuned...
MAKE SURE YOU SEE THIS PART

Umm...500 hp bike on unprepped pavement, and running 261 in a mile...yeah, you think that is hard on the tire??
Other tires besides Michelins bit the dust there. If he were running on a U-soft he would likely be pushing up daisies now. I've seen them chunk at much lower speeds than 250+, and we caution folks against using them at Maxton.
I've used to Michelin's to run in the 8's and over 200 mph without issue. Some bikes are going to press any tire you put on them....especially on a bad track.
Apples and oranges comparison...

i knew someone would say that .. but that 255mph nekked busa had a pirelli and it was on for more than 5 runs .. i got pics of the pirelli .. also i only counted 2 power ones . the rest were just any brand on the other 75 motorcycles .. i walk around and look at stufff like that ..
and the guy that saying this about the tire also has a 500hp busa that ran out there last year

The Pirelli you are referring to is a 240 tire, correct? And it did indeed give up the ghost, as far as I know. You can't even compare the setup of Bill Warner's bike to Tom's...completely different. See if either of those guys would run a U-Soft on their LSR bike...
The Michelins work great for me, and many other much faster bikes and riders. Why bash them? I've ran plenty of Shinko's on the street and strip, and they were decent...especially for the cost.
Nonetheless, enjoy your Shinko's...and I'll stick with my Michelins.

get the shinko u-soft.. you will never use another tire...i am stretch out 9 to 10 inches over stock with 16 and 44 sprockets and i pull the front tires every time i leave.....you will have to have low air preasure in it but that bad boy will hook...dont do a real big burn out tho..iv noticed if i heat it up 2 much it will spin real bad......i usually just dust them off b4 i race ..hold the clutch in reve it up and spin the tires over without power braking.....you may b coming out the whole with 2 much rpm on the street 2 thats why ur spinning...on the street u really have to ride the clutch out
