Sorry but I had to do it....
Me and my friend who bought the 96ZX11 went cruising all day today. I knew how bad I was gonna whoop on him BUT DAM it was n't even close!!!! I even gave his the hit, started in too low a gear etc etc etc. Same outcome each time...MURDER! LOLOLOLOL!!!!
I then let him ride my bike for 20-30 miles and that was it...he is now putting his bike on ebay and getting a zx14!!!!
I feel bad cause he just bought the zx11!!!
Overall it was a great day of riding with 2 great bikes!

I've had two ZX11's and while they are good bikes and great bikes compared to the competition 15-20 years ago, technology keeps marching forward.
While there's a big difference in performance in the 10 year span between the 11 & 14 it's no where the difference as between the 10 year span of the KZ & 11.
I loved the 11's..............and the 14's, oh and the KZ's too!
Glad you guys got to ride, the weather's still cold here.

We have seen quite a bit of change over the year's huh Dan? I though I was fast dialing in at 11.00 flat back in the KZ days @ 3600 feet...............

In own a Vmax 1st gen, and same thing, its a dog in comparison.
its got a backrest on it now and has been resorted to family 2 up bike.... great for that... no steering geometyry changes induced with a passenger.

That's for sure!!
I remember back in '79 my buddy had a 1327cc KZ with everything available back then including the first (crude) nitrous system any of us had ever seen. With an arm, slick & wheelie bar it finally, barely broke into the nines before it scattered.
In 2002 my son Chad was running 9.70's on his stock arm 600 Ninja while foot-shifting.
Yep Charles we've seen quite a bit of change!
Sorry for hijacking the thread, now back to your regularly scheduled post.
