I connected my PC3 to the coolant screw as well and so far no problems. Did you reset your throttle position after loading map? If not you will need to....

A lot of people have extended the ground wire directly to the battery. Grounding issues are common with Power Commanders, in general. With the limited description you have given, that would be the first thing I would check.

Forget hooking the ground to the battery ..No need to cut and add wire .. The wire is long enough to bolt it to the stator cover top bolt ... I have done 10 or so that way and never a problem ..

Ground - Ground - Ground !

The + 1 problem with a power commander !

Any good ground to the frame or motor - Make sure you lightly file
any paint off the surface your grounding to. It does make a difference.

If you got skillz . . . . extend it to the battery !
