Wheelie I didn't know you were running the CT.

If I remember correctly, You weigh significantly more than Jesse..
Weight alone will always benefit little jocks.

We are comparing two different pipes,
I must be missing something...
we are comparing more mph and no increase in et, even though Jesse did install a new Brocks CT exhaust (spam)

..... are you saying that the pipe is giving you mph without et

or

..... that different tracks may say higher mph then others all while giving you the same et?

is the staging different? would starting slightly farther back increase mph but have little effect on et?

maybe a little less wheel spin on the big end due to a better prepped track?

"ya'll jumped over my post in smokin's thread, when I went to Houston my bike gained 3 mph, my times didnt change, still running 9.03, but was running almost 152 mph, I run 148-149 here, any idea's why my times didnt go quicker? im not trying to get smack started here, just asking

wee "

Jesse had to control his bike from wheeling which caused his point of peak acceleration to be farther down the track. This means that his bike was pulling hard longer on the top end before reaching his acceleration potential . Therefor, push through his acceleration resistance on the back half faster. Resulting in more MPH which only made up for the acceleration he lost earlier in the run.

Wheelie, the same thing happened to you, maybe not due to fighting a wheelie, more probable your bike hooked better later on the top end and made up for acceleration lost earlier in the run.
With nothing changed between run to run a bike only has a set amount of acceleration potential . Peak acceleration can be shifted to different points on the track causing different MPH but acceleration potential is a limit that results in the same ET.

You should normally get 5-7 mph when switching tracks. Try some fuel system cleaner!

But on a serious note, time (mph) clocks are very sensitive. The slightest difference in the beams can make the difference. The best way to measure would be if the track or lane is consistently faster or slower.

Guys,

It is very common for back half MPH to vary. Richard Gadson went 162 on one of his passes in Valdosta. Most of the time he went 158. What doesn't change, ON GOOD CLEAN PASSES, are the back half ET numbers. His were 3.07-3.08 all weekend.

Hope this helps a little.

mph is calculated by the time spent crossing the last 2 cones.
If those cones are a little closer the speed is faster.
I've been to tracks where one lane is faster than the other.
It don't take much .
