Ride Safe

Hey fellow riders...Just wanted to say the ridding season has begun so just be safe out there...From experience, never assume that other drivers and even bike riders can see you. With that said I just wanted to draw from as much experience that this forum has to offer. For those of us who do more street riding than track ridding, like myself, share some of your rules to ride by with us all. Just want to hear some different logical process' to street riding. Thanks for sharing with us all....

Thats how I ride also, like I'm invisible. I also like to pulse the rear brake when I slow down or am stopped at a traffic signal in hopes that drivers coming up behind me will notice me. I also ride with the high beams all the time during the day. Ride safe and have fun!

epd 345 I do that same thing at stop lights.I almost got ran over one day but Im in the habit of staying back a little from the car in front of me at stop lights with the bike in gear and a finger on the brake to keep the tail light lit when this woman wasnt slowing down so I let the clutch out and road down the side of the car in front of me and after she slammed on the brakes there was about two feet between her front bumper and the car I was behind.

I got fined for "failure to maintain lane " when
I was on the diamond lane interchange ramp and I was coming up to a car that soon slammed on it's brakes
to slow down for a cop on the shoulder I didnt see right away as I was a bit on the right hand shoulder trying to anticipate what the car braking
was gonna do when I saw the cop and had to get off the shoulder!
The cop didn't buy my trying to avoid an accident and said I was following
too close anyways cause he couldn't read my speed.
We'll see what happens in court

on the highways cars usually travel in packs. i try to find the voids in between them for traffic free sailing.
