vin number locations

hey its been almost a year since my 14 was stolen and we have the guys name who has it i need to know where all we can look for numbers so i can prove its mine PLEASE HELP

They should be on your registration or pink slip.
If you're talking on the bike then they're on the right side of the goose neck, and on the clutch housing just above the cluch cover.

are there none on the motor they have had it a year so im gonna have to dig deep didnt know about the clutch cover though thanks

The clutch cover #'s are the motor vin#'s

So are you getting the bike back, or have they not found it yet? That really sux to have a ride stolen man.........had a friend that went thru this but his was never recovered

The Engine number is an Engine Identification Number that is different from the VIN or Vehicle Identification Number. They are not the same.. When my 00 ZX12R was stolen I made sure our records division entered the EIN as a stolen vehicle part. That way if it showed up, it would get an NCIC hit and link back as a stolen vehicle part so they would know it came out of a stolen vehicle..
