Every 15,000. Takes me about 45 minutes to inspect mine... If it's my clients bikes then it 's about 1 and a half hours to inspect. I take longer with my clients cause most of the time I don't see their bikes till they're overdue for any type of service and the extra time give me the chance to spot any other potential problems.

Yea Shane I agree. What do you think...double that interval? By the way there is a shop here in town called Fastbikes USA that will do it for $250. He has a solid reputation as a mechanic and tuner.

I believe the Kawi mineral oil helped cause that many valves to be adjusted . That or the mechanic is suspect.
All the 14's that I've checked haven't needed to be adjusted including mine. All but a few we're using synthetic.
The synthetic ones checked as good as new and the few that used mineral we're a bit on tighter side at 15,000 ,30,000.
Mine is almost at 60,000 . I checked it last at 55,000 and she is starting to get tight but within the factory range.

That's a good deal! That's also what I charge at my shop for a valve adjustment or $150 for just a check.

I've used synthetic from the start and I have almost 17K miles...so all things being equal...and I realize I'm asking for your opinon...do you think I could wait a little longer to have them checked?

I would say yes you should be ok to wait a little longer,
I wouldn't skip this interval and go to the next but I would time it near your next oil change if possible so you can have fresh oil after you have the valves checked.

I would say no if you are really hard on your bike and drag race it regular
Post back when you have it done. I'm betting the valves are fine .
