Michelin 90/58-17

I inquired about this tire on pb. Richie (from Richies Tires) said he has seen them on zx14s, and he said they would be fine with 38 pounds. Would this have any adverse effects on my drag bike? I want a small light front tire, but I also want to have enough rubber to grip when I'm slowing down at the end of the track. What do you think?

I saw his diary about the hayabusa if that's what you're referring to. However, with my adjustable lowering links, I should be able to get the same rake.......... right? Wouldn't it do the same thing as lowering the forks?

My main concern with that tire is popping the bead by landing a big wheelie hard. The tire is designed for a 2.5" rim.

Low profile tires can be made to work fine, if you set the chassis up to match. Remember, I run a 60 series on my 14 and I have been much faster than Brock's Busa went at Maxton.
